Featured Vision Correction Procedures
LASIK
LASIK surgery uses a laser to reshape the patient's cornea and correct astigmatism, nearsightedness, and farsightedness. Using wavefront and corneal topography to detect minute irregularities on the surface of the cornea allows our LASIK surgeon greater control during the procedure. Results are incredibly quick, and most people can go to work the day after surgery. LASIK surgery can provide you with clearer vision so that you can live your life without having to worry about glasses or contacts.
PRK
While LASIK is an incredible treatment option, it is not right for everyone. For example, patients with thin corneas will likely not qualify for LASIK. For the right candidates, PRK can provide an alternative. PRK removes the epithelial layer of the cornea so a surgeon can reshape the inner corneal layer with a laser. The recovery time for PRK is longer than LASIK, but the results are virtually the same. PRK side effects are similar to LASIK, with dry eye being the most common.
Cataract Surgery
Our surgeons can provide a range of treatment options for those suffering from cataracts. By replacing a clouded crystalline lens with an intraocular lens (IOL), we can restore clear and sharp vision. Our advanced, premium IOLs can reduce or even eliminate your dependence on glasses and contact lenses. We perform small-incision cataract surgery for patients interested in the least invasive method of treating cataracts with fewer potential side effects.
Glaucoma Treatment
To prevent vision loss due to glaucoma, early detection and treatment are key. The earlier glaucoma is detected, the more effective conservative treatments such as eye drops and oral medications can be. Moderate cases of glaucoma can benefit from the use of a laser to improve drainage. For extreme cases, surgery can alleviate drainage issues by placing an implant or manually creating a new path.
