Dr. Buchser is an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma treatment. She earned her doctorate with research distinction at the University of Miami, where she also completed her medical internship. Next, she attended Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where she completed a research fellowship in glaucoma and a fellowship in ocular pathology. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center before completing glaucoma fellowship training in St. Louis at Washington University.

Generally speaking, you should undergo a general eye exam including glaucoma screening:
- Every five to 10 years between the ages of 20 and 40
- Every two to four years between the ages of 40 to 54
- Every one to three years between the ages of 55 and 64
